Course description
The Trauma Nursing Core Course, or TNCC, combines interactive learning with scenario-based assessments to give nurses a comprehensive learning experience. The 1.5-day intensive course provides new skills through lectures, group activities and hands-on practice.
The ENA is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation as a provider of continuing nursing education.
The course fee covers instruction, handouts, and the national ENA verification fee.
The TNCC provider certification is good for four years.
Objective
To improve trauma patient outcomes by providing nurses with foundational trauma knowledge, skills, and a systematic Trauma Nursing Process to guide trauma patient care.

Location
Classes are held in the Smullin Health Education Center on the Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center campus. Sign in areas will be in front of the appropriate room. Please see the schedule posted at the Information Desk, inside Smullin Center, to identify the appropriate classroom for the class. Parking is available. Maps will be sent upon request.
Accreditation
CEUs are awarded by the ENA upon course completion.
Agenda
Registration and module completion verification begins at 7:45 a.m. on day one. The course starts promptly at 8 a.m. on both days and will adjourn by 5 p.m. on day one. Lunch is not provided. Day two will adjourn after psychomotor testing is complete. You may choose to take your online exam at the close of day two or up to seven days after class completion. The test is open-book and timed. You will have two hours to complete the exam. Please be mindful of your current TNCC expiration date as extensions are not offered if your license expires prior to testing.
