In-person childbirth education class

This four-week class will prepare expecting parents for the marathon that is labor, birth and the postpartum period. Topics include healthy habits for pregnancy, common prenatal discomforts, body movements to prepare for labor, coping strategies, relaxation and breathwork exercises, birth plans, as well as interventions and variations of birth. 

Your support person will gain invaluable knowledge of the birthing process and practice hands-on skills to help the pregnant person move through the phases and stages of labor.

Helpful class info

All classes are held at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. Wear comfortable clothing; and for the basic series and the intensives, bring a pillow. These classes are packed with information for expectant parents, so please make other arrangements for your older children.
