Brittany DiCarolis, RPSGT, CCSH
Clinical manager

Brittany DiCarolis was trained in sleep medicine in 2006, got registered as a polysomnographic technologist while working at a private lab in Medford and became the clinical supervisor in 2009. She joined Asante Sleep Center in 2012. Brittany became certified in clinical sleep health in 2015, obtained an AAS degree in Sleep Health from the Oregon Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in psychology at OIT.

Nic Butkov, RPSGT
Education coordinator

Nic Butkov is an internationally recognized educator and author. He trained in sleep medicine at the Stanford University Sleep Disorders Center in the early 1980s, where he participated in some of the early clinical trials of continuous positive airway (CPAP) therapy for obstructive sleep apnea.

Nic is  the education coordinator for the Asante Sleep Center, director of the School of Clinical Polysomnography and longstanding faculty member of the Stanford-based School of Sleep Medicine in California. He is an independent consultant and presenter at national and regional conferences. A native Russian speaker, Nic assisted in the staff training and development of the first clinical sleep facility in Russia during the mid 1990s. During 2005–2007, Nic served on the American Academy of Sleep Medicine committee for the revision of the Rechtschaffen and Kales Sleep Scoring Manual. In 2002, Nic received the Sharon Keenan, PhD, Award for excellence in education, and in 2007, the Elliot D. Weitzman, MD, Service Award for contribution to the growth and development of the sleep technology profession.

Michael Schwartz, MS, RPSGT, CCSH
Insomnia education coordinator

Michael Schwartz earned his masters degree in Physiological Psychology from San Francisco State University and was trained as a sleep technologist at Western Medical Center in Anaheim, California and became a registered polysomnographic technologist in 1990. Michael supervised the Asante Sleep Center from 1995 to 2000. In 2008 he became the insomnia education coordinator and is a speaker and lecturer on the subject of insomnia in various venues within the community. He is the co-founder of the School of Clinical Polysomnography and is an online instructor at Oregon Institute of Technology's polysomnography program.
