Getting back to your life: Cardiac rehabilitation
At Asante the prevention of cardiovascular disease is an important part of our service to our community. Diagnosing and treating a cardiac condition are only the first steps to full recovery for heart patients. Multiple studies have shown that participation in a cardiac rehabilitation program is one of the most effective ways to return to a full and active life.
Asante offers cardiac rehabilitation programs at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center and Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, both of which are certified by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. These programs are directed by cardiologists and staffed by multidisciplinary teams. Unique exercise prescriptions are developed for each participant and include both monitored exercise and extensive education.
These programs also provide educational information for patients and their families on topics that include diet, exercise, medications, cardiac physiology and stress reduction.
