Education

Peter Teichman, MD, MPA received his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing. He completed his family medicine residency through Brown University in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He holds a master’s degree in public administration, with emphasis on international health care development. He has completed additional training at the Macy Institute for medical educators at Harvard University. His medical writing has been extensively published in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr. Teichman has extensive experience caring for patients in the U.S. and around the world.  He has worked or taught on six continents.  He is committed to maximizing the health and dignity of each patient. Outside the office, he enjoys hiking, tennis, reading, travel, and has acted in Shakespeare’s Measure For Measure.

My special interests are in skin care, acne, attention deficit disorder, joint injections and travel medicine.

Dr Teichman's staff is well nigh perfect in service delivery. I think this is a reflection on Dr Teichman 's leadership. But alas the farther one gets from his leadership, the more problematic the service becomes. It has improved, but still needs more. Finally, the facility's appearance is dated.

Dr. Teichman, his medical and office assistants go out of their way to provide the best care and experience. They are friendly, caring, helpful, punctual, and set the bar for medical care. Dr. Teichman's knowledge is exceptional, and he has been incredibly helpful every time I have needed medical care or health information. The office staff is always helpful and they call back in a timely manner. Dr. Teichman has always gotten me in for a same-day medical or video appointment when needed, and he jumped on two video calls within 15 minutes of calling the office two days in a row, to help coach me through [ ]. I'm not sure what I would have done without his outstanding medical care which was instrumental in my recovery. I feel like Dr. Teichman and his team exceed expectations to provide the best and most caring medical service and I feel fortunate to be their patient.

Basically Dr Teichman has a unique ability to interact and navigate questions so he fully understands my needs..Being a retired Law enforcement Ph-D er.. and believer in proper nutrition and supplement support..Dr T can actually understand and doesn't try to talk around my questions..He is highly knowledgeable..he makes me feel at ease..I am not an easy patient...He has an Empathy for listening and hearing what is spoken...Most docs I have had unfortunately just play the role...Thank u Dr T..for being the best u can be for yr patients...

The entire staff there whom we've experienced have been outstanding. However and in particular, Dr. Teichman himself is what I call a "dream" primary physician. I was an administrator a major hospital for eight years, and then highly involved in the work of a major statewide Blue Cross/Blue Shield insurer. From all that "back of the house" experience, I am what I call a SUPER "DOCTOR SNOB." Peter Teichman surpasses every "standard" that all my experience provided. He is a diligent scientist and diagnostician but ALSO is extremely humane, aware and personally interested in "my whole self." He is also a delight to work with. Bravo Asante!

Recently, after changing insurance health plans, I needed to request a change in medication as my new plan didn’t cover one of my asthma treatments. The response from Whitney was very fast and an appointment for a telemedicine consultation was quickly made. The Dr. and his medical assistant Whitney [ ] made my prescription change and got my asthma medication changed. Taylor and Erin [ ] from my cardiologist’s office have also made my contact with Asante smooth and satisfactory.

Dr. Teichman is a fantastic MD. with vast knowledge of what is best for me as a patient. My medical history has been somewhat complicated and am not the easiest patient he has had but my last visit I felt relief for the care he has given me and am grateful for all he has done as a physician to accommodate my needs to the best of his ability. A simple “thank you” would not suffice. I’m truly grateful.

Dr. Teichman is the BEST doctor I have ever had. He responds to every inquiry on My Chart on the day I pose the question, he always takes his time with me when I come to see him, and despite taking that time with patients, I never wait long in his waiting room. I trust his advice on every medical condition I have, and he definitely delivers the truth--painful or pleasant as it may be. He really is everything one wants a primary care doctor to be.

Yes, I am in the healthcare industry and have worked both the clinical and operational side of healthcare. Dr. Teichman's office always made me feel cared for-not just another patient coming through the door.
