About this provider

Dr. Sager is committed to providing thorough and compassionate care to patients of all ages. After a childhood overseas in Pakistan, he moved with his family to Ashland in 1973 and is a graduate of Ashland High School. He returned to Ashland with his wife and two kids in 1998 after working with the Indian Health Service in Ketchikan, Alaska.

He was in private practice for 15 years before joining Asante Physician Partners in 2015. Outside the office he enjoys trail running, mountaineering, travel, and time with family and friends. Recently Dr. Sager has been committed to treating Syrian refugees in the Middle East.

Dr. Sager and his admitting nurse were both outstanding. His nurse was prompt with our [ ] and the like. She took time to answer any questions and did it pleasantly and with a sense of kindness and sense of humor. Dr. Sager is the most pleasant and professional Dr. I've ever seen. My wife and I went together on back to back appointments. He had the difficult task of breaking the news to my wife she has the beginning indications of [ ]. He was kind, gentle and had to explain to us three times before she finally understood. Quite a human being. I'm it's one of his toughest jobs as a Dr. Stellar Man!

Dr. Sager has been my pcp for almost 20 yrs. I feel like I'm traveling this life with him and I am SO happy to have him shepharding my health through it all. Asante is blessed to have a doctor of his caliber working within their system. He is knowledgeable, caring and always up to date on all things health. In additiion, his medical assistant, Alex, is outstanding as well. She is caring, thoughtful and knows the details of my health history. All in all, with Dr. Sager and Alex, Asante is very, very lucky to have such a fine team. And in turn, I am very lucky also. Give them both raises!!

This survey did not ask the appropriate questions for the service Dr. Sager provided. I had a medical problem. I presented it on line My Chart. My regular doctor, Dr. [ ], was not available. The staff offered me an appointment with Dr. Sager. He had reviewed my chart, asked numerous questions, provided a sensible plan to follow for one week, which is when Dr. [ ] was to see me for WellCare check. Dr. Sager was absolutely great and he has an excellent taste in art.

Dr. Sager is an outstanding primary physician. He's well-informed, always friendly and courteous, and gives the impression that he truly cares about my health. He noticed a high calcium issue in my routine metabolic blood panels and made sure I saw an endocrinologist that he knew would be good for me. I feel very lucky to have become Dr. Sager's patient upon our move to Oregon 17 years ago, and feel my health concerns are in excellent hands with him.

Dr. Sager is a wonderful asset to Asante and I feel very well taken care of by him. He is very knowledgeable and up to date on all of my medical issues. I am so fortunate to have him as my primary care physician. There is never a question I have that he doesn't have an answer for. His medical knowledge is first rate and that combined with his great "bedside manner" makes me feel blessed to have him in my life. Asante should feel lucky to have him as well. Also to be commended is Alex his new nurse (?) who has been with him now almost a year. She is very pleasant and has an easy going manner that puts one at ease.

Yes, Dr. Sager was very attentive and helpful when I had multiple UTI's. He regularly prescribed medicine that was needed and worked with my surgeon to find the problem. I believe he literally saved my life. I am so grateful for his service and professional manner!
