About this provider

Daniel Fear, MD, earned his bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University, and his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University. He completed a residency in otolaryngology at Tufts University in Boston, as well as a fellowship. Specializing in ears, nose and throat care, Dr. Fear has an emphasis on: otology, rhinology, sinus surgery, including balloon sinuplasty, laryngology head and neck oncology, and pediatric otolaryngology.

Dr. Fear has been providing care to the Grants Pass community since 1995. He is active in the community, and has held leadership positions in 4-H, Rotary, and his church. He has served as chief of surgery at Asante, and is currently chief of staff at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. He raised his family in Grants Pass and continues to enjoy life in Southern Oregon with his wife, three children, and grandchildren.

I was referred from Community Care, at the VA Medical Center. Dr. Fear was outstanding during my [ ]. He explained to me about my [ ] to [ ], and we were provided the time for me to ask questions and for him to answer. I also would like to point out that he was outstanding when we met for post-op. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. fear and his nurse were for caring towards my daughter and let her have a say in her care. They described what they were going to do beforehand and made sure she was comfortable. His nurse even brought my daughter a crossword puzzle while we waited

After trying to get a referral for a sleep study, it’s been over two months and I haven’t received a call from the office that would do the sleep study. I had a virtual session with Dr. Fir about 2 to 3 weeks ago and I thought we would then, have a refer immediately to the sleep study lab, and I still haven’t heard from them. I understand that that study lab is up to 4 to 6 months waiting time for an appointment. Therefore, I am very anxious to at least hear from them.

Elizabeth is so awesome when you check in as well as all of Dr Fear's staff. This place has to be the very best when it comes to an in tune machine firing properly on all cylinders. Emmillee, Stacy, and his person that does testing all should get blueberries for their level of respect and patience with people like myself. Again, Dr Fear has a wonderful team that work well together. This isn't something seen hardly ever anymore. It shows they enjoy working for Dr Fear and truly do want to help us as patients. Blueberries to all of them!!!

Dr Fear is an amazing, caring and thorough ENT, He addressed my hearing loss and ear infections and performed 2 procedures on right ear and ordered several audio tests. He has helped me over a two year period and has improved my overall ear health. I am forever grateful to him!!!!

Dr. Fear did surgery to remove cancer cells from the back of my ear He then told me what to do to take care of it. A week later he removed stitches and further explained care to be taken. He is very personable and attentive to my concerns. I highly recommend him and would have him as my surgeon again if I ever need one

Only thing I would complain about and it has nothing to do with Dr Fear, is that the bills keep coming and they are not all lumped together. I was told a price and I keep receiving bills from outside the office. I understand the different people involved but the quote I was given was not reflective of the extra bills!

Everything was wonderful. Each department had knowledgeable and compassionate people willing to answer questions and help. The nurses helped ease my daughter's worries and [ ] about her procedures and made her comfortable. Dr. Fear was kind and understanding. Wish I'd written their names down. But, everyone I met in Dr. Fear's practice were kind, respectful, helpful and focused on my health. They explained what was going to happen in the treatment, so no surprises. They answered all my questions--I had quite a few.
