He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine in Baltimore in 2008. He completed his Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship in Houston in 2011. He moved to the Rogue Valley with his wife after graduation and has been here since.
With triple board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Ghosh cares for patients with the most challenging medical crises. As an intensivist and Chair of the Critical Care-Intensive Care Unit, Dr. Ghosh is leading his department and team into the top rank of care centers in the country.
“This valley is home to my family. If any of them were to fall ill, I would bring them here with complete confidence that they will receive the best care available. Our patients are being treated by a team of providers who have been trained at the best institutions and have demonstrated excellent patient care and work ethic. We are the referral center for Southern Oregon and Northern California for the sickest of patients.”
Beyond Dr. Ghosh’s excellent care for his individual patients, he also strives to improve systems and policies within Asante that will help the medical care of the community as a whole.
“I have had the honor of being trained by some of the best teachers one can hope for. While we tenaciously explore all possible options to reverse the disease process, we do humbly acknowledge that we are merely shepherds of every patient’s great, strong will to survive. I try to help guide patients and families through the tough decisions with information, understanding and clarity.”
Now in his seventh year at Asante, Dr. Ghosh enjoys sharing outdoor recreation with his wife and 2 young children. He plays the guitar and now fully recovered from knee surgery, looks forward to returning to playing in local soccer leagues. He enjoys fishing, cooking, mountain biking and Netflix-binging.
