Dr. Cavazos spends approximately forty minutes per appointment. Since I see her every three months, there is much to cover in these forty minutes, especially because she has such a detailed knowledge of her field of endocrinology as well as internal medicine. Her ability to keep in mind the various test results she has ordered and the advantages and risks of medicines she has [ ] is truly amazing. Her treatment of her patients is respectful and caring, and she never attempts to enrich herself by sponsoring [ ] as some physicians in the Rogue Valley have done. We are truly fortunate to have this physician in Asante.

I was so impressed with how my Endocrinologist went through my imaging results, referring back to prior images, explaining clearly what was significant, what was not, and why. The entire visit, even the My Chart Notes after visit, were exceptional in their clarity and thoroughness. A first rate professional office, lead by a first rate Doctor. The young man who did scheduling, the receptionist who greeted me, the assistant who took my vitals, everyone of them personable and effective.

It's hard to imagine anyone not praising everyone at the facility where Martha works ... especially Martha, Terry, Nicole, and others there whom I do not "see" but encounter when I am there for my appointments/visits. I noted previously that I was very concerned when Asante "took over" Ashland Community Hospital, but I have been delighted at what I have seen with how well everything appears to work. I hope I am not simply unaware of the validity of my observations! Both my wife and I are very happy coming to "Asante Ashland" for our care. :-)

I don't remember her name, but the receptionist on the second floor of the endocrinology clinic went out of her way to help me. I need a copy of my medical records faxed to the VA and she worked for a couple of hours at least to get the information to the VA. The VA sent me a letter acknowledging receipt of the records. They had lost the earlier set I had sent in and I was very frustrated. This young lady recognized my frustration and went out of her way to reassure me that she would get it done. I will bring her flowers on my next visit.

I have been seeing Dr. Cavazos' for over 10 years. I was seeing her before she was part of Asante. Even though the office looks have changed several times, remodeled, etc, and staff has changed, she is fantastic. I have referred at least 6 people to her. I find it troubling the lack of office support staff, but I see that all over the Asante system and everywhere else.
