Minimally invasive surgery
Our goal with all surgical procedures is to get the job done and start the healing process with as little trauma as possible. Minimally invasive procedures use specialized surgical tools and small incisions in order to minimize post-surgical pain, speed recovery times, shorten hospital stays, and minimize the potential for complications.
Laparoscopic surgery
Laparoscopy is used for both diagnostics tests and relatively simple surgical procedures. During laparoscopic procedures, small incisions of up to half an inch provide space to insert a very small video camera and specialized instruments. The surgeon is able to see the surgical site through a video monitor and perform the procedure with limited scarring, reduced post-surgical pain and quicker recovery times than traditional surgery. The da Vinci surgical system is the most innovative technology available for minimally invasive surgery. With the da Vinci system, surgeons can perform surgeries that are both complex and minimally invasive.
