What to expect
When you arrive at an Asante Emergency department, a nurse will quickly determine how we can best care for you.
For your benefit, the emergency department does not run on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Patients with the most critical needs are seen first, while our Fast Track urgent care is designed to give non-critical patients the care they need as quickly as possible.
Medical team
All of our emergency services caregivers have advanced training in trauma care and life support for people of all ages. During your visit, your care team may include board-certified emergency doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and hospitalists.
Doctors
Our emergency services doctors are board-certified in emergency medicine. They have special training in advanced cardiac life support, advanced trauma life support and pediatric advanced life support.
Hospitalists
Our hospitalists are fully-trained doctors who devote their time solely to the hospital and are available around the clock.
Nurses
Our emergency services nurses have special training in advanced cardiac life support, trauma nurse core course and pediatric advanced life support.
Our nurse practitioners and physician assistants have special training in emergency care. They see people of all ages and their families in our emergency department.
Our emergency team is backed by Asante's total spectrum of services. If you need emergency surgery, lab work, diagnostic tests, or if you need to be hospitalized or scheduled for follow-up appointments, Asante provides it all.
