About this provider

Kent Dauterman, MD, earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Toledo, where he was valedictorian of the College of Arts and Sciences. He then served as a Peace Corps Public Health volunteer in Africa before earning his medical degree from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he was among the top three graduates. 

His medicine residency and cardiology fellowship were at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was chosen to serve as chief resident and chief fellow. 

His most recent training includes two years at the Cleveland Clinic as a fellow in interventional cardiovascular medicine. He is board certified in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary Angiography and Intervention. 

Dr. Dauterman specializes in interventional cardiovascular medicine and performs coronary interventions and minimally invasive valve procedures. He helped establish the carotid stent and minimally invasive valve programs and performed the first carotid stent, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, and percutaneous mitral valve-in-valve procedures at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center.  

He is co-director of the STEMI (Heart Attack) Program in Southern Oregon and Northern California and co-director of the Structural Heart Disease Program at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center. He has served as chief of Cardiology.  

Dr. Dauterman is married to a wonderful teacher and has two children. He previously coached a high school robotics team and is now enjoying beekeeping.
