Pathway Designated- America Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)Asante Three Rivers Receives Pathway to Excellence Designation

The only hospital in Oregon to achieve this mark of distinction

Asante Three Rivers Medical Center has been honored with the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Pathway to Excellence® re-designation, making it one of only 139 hospitals in the nation – and the only hospital in Oregon – with this distinction.

The designation identifies the elements of a positive work environment where nurses can flourish. “We are committed to professional growth, patient care and excellence in practice,” said Tiffany Murdock, Asante’s chief nursing officer. “We want our nurses to know their efforts are supported and their ideas are listened to and encouraged.”

For an organization to earn the Pathway to Excellence distinction, it must successfully undergo a thorough review process that documents quality initiatives that create a positive work environment. “These initiatives are defined by nurses and supported by research,” said Win Howard, Asante Three Rivers CEO. “We are committed to what nurses identify as important to their practice and the care of our patients.”

Asante Three Rivers has received this designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2012, and is the first in Oregon. The ANCC is a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association and provides nurses with resources to achieve excellence in their profession.
